Rob Murphy, the commentator for Galway Bay FM and rugby correspondent for the City Tribune decided that coverage of Connacht rugby was somewhat lacking so decided to start up a post match podcast with the help of long time Connacht fan William Davies and well known rugby nut Alan Deegan.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The podcast only covered post match reviews starting in 2014 and got it’s name thanks to a funny Dragons fan forum post that gave a fake commentary of what was probably going to happen in the match that was run on Craggy Island radio, if I ever find that post again I will add the link here – we took it as a compliment and the whole “sand mower” bit of the first episode seemed to solidify the name, Craggy Island Rugby podcast – as we got a bit more serious about our podcasting with dropped the Island to give us the name we use this day Craggy Rugby ( we still enjoy a fair bit of craic all the same).<\/p>\n
