The Craggy Rugby podcast is the brainchild of Rob Murphy, the voice of Connacht rugby on the airwaves. It provides the clan of Connacht followers with a highly professional podcast production with informed insight on each and every match played by the Connacht professional rugby team.
Initially, Rob recruited long time Connacht fans William Davies, who has been supporting Connacht for over 40 years and had ambitions to become a journalist and Alan Deegan, a rugby nut who was hugely frustrated with the lack of knowledge that the mainstream media showed towards one of the “4 proud provinces of Ireland”.
As the podcast gathered a hard core following, the crew expanded with the introduction of Dave Finn, Niall “Packie” Sheil and the Galway Advertiser’s rugby guru Linley MacKenzie.
The podcast continues to grow and now has a number of back room volunteers such as editor Emmet McNamara, photographer James Crombie and social media consultant Danny Deegan.
